We list just a few links in the lefthand sidebar of every page you view on this site. We could list a bazillion sites, as link trading is a great way to build awareness for LostInaFog, but have instead chosen to add new links cautiously. Some of these linked blogs also link to us, and some don’t. When approached to exchange links, I’ll happily add the link, actually read that linked blog for a while and then either keep it or dump it depending on my take on the content. I can see that some of you folks do check out those links occasionally, but thought I’d highlight a couple today that you might enjoy.
I may be in love with Dorene. We probably disagree on plenty, but she always has an intelligent take and can make me laugh out loud with some of her posts. I think that living in Alaska is different than living in the rest of the country and hard to classify easily. Check out this post today on her take from a Cargo Magazine article on the linguistic niceties of things that are so gay. Scan down a bit on the main page and check out her free ecards of historic Alaska. I love that one of the two guys standing next to that big bear skin that must be, what, 40 feet high :). And her link list includes everything from historic preservation sites to a stripper’s blog. Oh, Dorene, Dorene, Doreeeeeene…hmm, can’t remember the rest of those lyrics.
Paul Stamitou is a 19-year old Sophomore at the Georgia Institute of Technology. I found his site from a technorati link a couple of months back when he wrote a nice piece on how to create a nice blog header graphic. The fact that I haven’t changed my theme yet to include this allegedly easy to create new header is my fault not his. He writes intelligently about great geeky topics that help me understand. Today he’s got a piece on Permalinks in Wordpress. This one I’ve figured out already (yay me), but maybe all those folks who end up with headlines that say nothing but “Permalink” on my Technorati RSS feeds will take a look and figure out how to configure their admin panels for better effect. Hey Paul, thanks for all your virtual help–I appreciate the blog and the info!
Ethan J.A. Schoonover is a GTD god and the creator of the Kinkless GTD system (get the most recent version here). If you use a Mac, you have to take a look at this site and this system. It utilizes the terrific OmniOutliner Pro application and allows me to keep my GTD database in a form that plays nicely with iCal and my Treo and allows me to worry less about the system and more about getting things done. I use my Outliner more than I use Word these days. Give this a try. And if you aren’t using a Mac, check it out anyway so you can see what you are missing. Some high profile types claim to have switched platforms from PC to Mac just to use this system.

The song (by the ever talented Josh Green) actually goes…
Dorene, Dorene, Dorene
is the meanest bitch you’ve ever seen,
that mean Dorene.
She’ll break your heart,
give it a whirl,
there’s no taming that damn girl
Dorene
That bitch Dorene
It is nice to be loved.
Oh, yeah….that’s right. now I remember.
I’ve got to get more country onto my iPod…
