Today I am thankful for my two great kids, healthy and happy despite the pressures added to their lives over the last year.

I am thankful for a new job with some wonderful folks; a place I can contribute and be successful; a place I can grow and move forward.

I am thankful for a supportive family who despite the great distances between us all, are always there for me when family is just what you need.

Where tax-and-spend Democrats take all your hard-earned money and use it to buy electric cars for National Public Radio and teach evolution to illegal immigrants. Oh, and everybody’s high!

I use a Quotes plug-in to rotate the little tag line that shows up in the LostInaFog banner on the top of each page. I got a note from somebody who just noticed that they changed with each reload wanting to know how I did that and how many taglines I had. So here they all are…about 100 of them. They’re lyric snippets and smart-ass lines. Feel free to steal any of them that I didn’t steal from somebody else…

So Judy at the school where I’m finishing up some projects had a great idea for dealing with your kids’ Halloween candy. She says that after the bags full of Halloween candy made it home with her kids each year they would sit down and choose just 10 pieces to keep. the rest were put in a bag and left on the porch for the Candy Witch to pick up to distribute to those children who weren’t lucky enough to have their own bags of candy. The Witch would disappear the candy and in its place, each child would find a present. The kids were happy to get the presents and also asked for the next few days whether Mom thought that the Candy Witch had delivered their candy yet, and whether the kids who got it were eating it yet.
